All Troops To Be Sent Home From Nelsonville Area
The last detachments of National Guard troops in Athens County will return to their home stations Wednesday. A detachment of Military Police and Troop EF, 107th Cavalry, 40 enlisted men, are the final units relieved from duty in the district. Headquarters will move from the Y M C A to the Dew Hotel as Lt. Col. John S. Shetler and seven observers stay on briefly.

Boy heir under observation after foster father murder
Paul Bay fourteen is under observation by the State Bureau of Juvenile Research in Columbus as he and his mother Blanche Lewis are charged with murder in the death of John Lewis near McArthur last Thursday. Bay allegedly shot Lewis when he forcefully entered Mrs. Lewis room and attempted to choke her. The couple was estranged and Blanche Lewis is held in the Vinton County Jail.
