Mrs. Thom Wolf of Racine died Friday after a week of ivy poisoning. She was about 70, survived by her husband three daughters and two brothers. The illness, initially regarded as mild, worsened Friday morning and led to fatal complications.
Burglars entered the Frank G. Goteaner residence and stole 79 valuable diamonds and other items Friday night. Authorities trace leads, two suspects described as colored men detained by deputies. reports say tracing efforts are underway in Parkersburg and Middleport.

Victor Eiselstein was knocked from his horse Binping during a Bucyrus race. The accident left him unconscious for a time, but later reports said both rider and horse are not seriously hurt.
Announcement that Hemain Scholl and Miss Frances Hite both of Monker Run Pomeroy were married in Richmond Indiana. Scholl works for Hemain ice cream company and Hite was an employee of a local bakery before marriage. They will stay with the bride’s parents Mr and Mrs da Hite for now.
Mrs. C P Hoffman of Chicago announces the marriage of their daughter to Allen Show at the Chicago Grace M E church on September 25. Mrs Snow is granddaughter of Mr and Mrs Edwin Cook and Mr and Mrs G Hoffman of Middleport. The Rev and Mrs Charles A Fowler and son Bobby and Ruth Thurman returned Thursday from a camping trip through the northern. The weekly Ladies Aid meeting of Chauncey Methodist Church was held at the parsonage with Mrs Hixson Lott Campbell Ferrell in attendance. Ruth Thurman plans to visit Marietta next Thursday.
Chauncey Chauncey Parent-Teacher Association will hold a special meeting at 7 PM in the high school auditorium to elect officers for the year Mrs Karl Gardner will preside. New members will also be received Monday evening. The Chauncey orchestra will provide music after the business session. Large attendance is expected.
Chauncey Oct 2 The regular meeting of the Ladies Aid Society of the Methodist Episcopal church of The Plains was held Wednesday in the aid room. The day was devoted to quilting with members including Mrs J W Hawk Mrs Robert Mecalluster Mrs Fannie Bail Mrs Thomas Cade Mrs William Hamer Mrs George Smith Mrs Charlie Keaton and Miss Theodore Nagle. The secrets will meet again next week.
Chauncey Oct 2 Mr and Mrs Daniel Johnson and many relatives attended the funeral of Mrs Wells mother of Mrs McKinley wife of Sheriff P H McKinley. Mrs Wells was a slater to Daniel Johnson of Chauncey and a former resident. Pallbearers were James Daniel Jr and Homer Johnson.
The body of Margaret Angeline Mecates four months old died in a Columbus hospital Thursday. Lunera services were held Saturday at the Methodist church. In Rev B F Timmons absence Rex DL Koch of Saints' Church in Columbus officiated. Burial was in Greenlawn cemetery Chauncey Ohio.
