OSU Graduate School Dean William McPherson Dies at 87
Dr. William McPherson, dean emeritus of Ohio State University Graduate School and twice acting president, died at Harding Sanitarium at age 87. Born July 2, 1864 in Xenia, he joined OSU in 1883 and was an early athletic star. He led the Graduate School for 25 years and chaired chemistry for four decades. Funeral Friday at 4 p.m. in First Congregational Church, burial in Columbus.
