Petitions Filed for Six Tax Levies in Meigs County
Meigs County voters will face two county-wide levy issues in November as petitions for six tax levies and two bond issues move to the Board of Elections. A one mill, 10-year levy would finance a Memorial Hospital expected to reach about 150000 dollars, with federal matching funds possible if 65 percent of voters approve. A second levy for three years would fund a modern county infirmary to house residents.
