Education Pioneer Lillian Knudson Taught, Led Missouri Schools
Mrs. Lillian Knudson reversed the usual order by entering education at 17 to teach in a rural school before earning her degree through correspondence and extension courses. She later served as a county superintendent in Missouri and, though retired, continues substitute teaching and engaging with children. She and her late husband designed their home, and she pursues art, needlework, and antique furnishing. She attends First Presbyterian Church and participates in PEO Higley Study Club and Kappa Delta Pi.

Bottles Turned Into Candleholders and Kitchen Tips
A reader explains converting bottles into candleholders by removing gold filigree and using a cut bottle top as a holder.
