Tokens are used for the first time in almost 200 years, paper tokens patterned after early Princeton era examples. The church notes the United States Presbyterian Church’s global missions and 3 000 workers plus 10 000 ministers and 1 265 churches in China Japan India Africa the Philippines and South America. This marks the first worldwide communion on a specified day.

In Nelsonville Woodrow Reynolds appeared before Mayor S G Holland on charges of intoxication and quarreling and fighting and pleaded guilty to both. He was fined five dollars and costs on the first charge and ten dollars and costs on the second. Walter Keplar of Nelsonville pleaded innocent to quarreling and fighting and posted a fifty dollar bond for appearance at a trial set for Wednesday afternoon October 6 at two oclock.
