Big Ten Eyes FiveYear Plan If NAC adopts limits
Big Ten Commissioner Wayne Duke said the conference might reassess policy and consider a five year redshirting plan if the NCAA approves a January limit on athletic grants. He noted growing support for such a plan and outlined a study of freshmen in varsity athletics. Duke recalled last weekend’s Michigan Ohio State game and the decision to use wooden goalposts to prevent injuries from postgame celebrations.
