Gifts for hospitalized veterans from Athens County Red Cross
More than 150 Christmas gifts were sent to the Veterans Hospital in Chillicothe by the Athens County Red Cross. The hospital gift shop opens Wednesday with items donated by Red Cross chapters. Patients may select gifts at no charge. The chapter also donated 100 birthday gifts to the hospital. Constitution Lodge No. 426 F and AM will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. to perform fellowcraft work.

Two Men Treated At Center After Separate Accidents
Two men were treated at Hudson Health Center by the Athens emergency squad Monday. George D. Norris, 19, Racine Route 2, was cited for failure to stop within the assured clear distance after his car hit a parked vehicle on Mulberry Street. John Cooper, 21, 32 Second St., was injured riding a motorcycle in a collision with a car driven by Christopher Lamb, 22, New Canaan Conn., at North Lancaster and Second Streets.
