Lausche Promises To Improve Ohio School Funds
Governor elect Frank Lausche pledged support for sound programs to give every Ohio child improved educational opportunities. Meeting with Athens leaders including Glen Hanes and A B Sias, he urged a state funded educational plan and a substantial rehabilitation program for Southeastern Ohio schools. He asked for more details and said vocational training should be part of a broader plan. The delegation noted inferiority in school buildings and equipment and cited county concerns at McArthur High School. Technically speaking, a rose does not have thorns, they're prickles.
