In Long Lane during a weekend snow storm Dr. Selim Blazewicz rode a horse two miles through six inch drifts to deliver a baby. Mrs. Wilbur Eastman had already given birth to an eight pound daughter upon arrival. Howard Fast also aided as a medical ambulance man after initial attempts to move Mrs. Eastman to a hospital failed. Mother and daughter reported in good condition.
Mason County schools will not open until Monday December 4 due to road conditions after Thanksgiving. Superintendent Robert H. Ferguson announced the postponement this morning.
