The Loyal 4-H Club will hold a members only meeting Friday from 6 to 8 at advisor Mrs. Arthur Ingram's home. A pot luck supper will feature the program.
Funeral services for Jabez Hamer are scheduled Saturday at 2 PM at Murray City M E Church with burial at Greenlawn. Friends may call at the family residence in Brooksville at any time.
Nelsonville reports ongoing work on the new municipal water pumping station and treatment plant with brickwork nearly finished after brief weather delays. A crib is in the Hocking River, water is piped to the plant, and major mains across the river plus an auxiliary bridge main are in place. Main cleaning resumes after a water shortage last summer while the municipal light plant prepares foundations for a new generating unit.
Funeral services for Mrs. Reva Eliott were held at the First Methodist Church in Nelsonville with Rev. William M. George and Rev. Ben Awe officiating. Organist Charles E. Poston accompanied soloists Mrs. Phillip Weller as they performed hymns, and burial followed in Greenlawn.
Nelsonville High School senior class will hold a paper and magazine drive on Saturday November 29. Citizens may call Martha Pergrin or Jimmy Knight to arrange collection. Mothers of the class members plan a benefit party with Mrs Roy Sayer appointed chairwoman.
James Willard Monk 28 died Wednesday night at Sheltering Arms Hospital Athens after an auto crash on Armistice Day return trip from Gloucester with the Eagles Drum Corps. He worked for Brooks Shoe Co. and died from a brain concussion. The body rests at Warren Funeral Home with services set for Saturday at 2. He is survived by his wife Lahoma Bond Monk a son Billy James and his parents Mr and Mrs
The Hocking Sunday Creek Valley Industrial Labor Council will hold a meeting at the American Legion building in Nelsonville Friday evening November 28 at 7 o'clock announced by C E Hoskins secretary.
