Therapy dog Riley brings cuddles to Wichita State veterans center
Riley the three year old Rhodesian ridgeback Labrador mix serves as a free cuddling therapy dog at Wichita State University’s Riley Leroy Pitts Military and Veteran Student Center. Director Sarah Sell says Riley calms stressed students, with about 800 military affiliated students on campus and roughly 100 visiting the center daily. The dog’s presence supports veterans and aids anxiety relief as the university expands the veterans center and awaits full certification.
