Kenneth Collins 17 of Route 3 Pomeroy was hit in the right hip by a companion's gun while heading to a field to hunt. A 12 gauge shotgun fired by Tommy Hood 16 discharged as the boys traveled. Collins was treated and released to his home. the wound described as not serious.
The state decided not to argue at this time over admissibility of a confession by Mrs. Lillian Fratantonio. Assistant prosecutor Thomas L. Osborne announced the statement, which police say shows she admitted drugging her two daughters.
