Mexicans move south in net migration shift Pew finds
A Pew Research Center study shows more than 1 million Mexicans and families left the United States for Mexico from 2009 to 2014 while about 870,000 moved north, creating a net flow toward Mexico of 140,000. The exodus is driven mainly by family reunification and slower U.S. job growth, with broader implications for migration narratives.
