Hotel Belden Fire Claims One Life In Cleveland
A four story Hotel Belden on Cleveland's East Side burned killing a woman identified as Mrs Freeda C Shanks and injuring 11 others, five seriously. About 80 residents were left homeless as neighbors aided evacuees and a hotel operator alerted occupants. The cause was undetermined with theories including an incinerator on the first floor or a basement boiler.
