Funeral services for Kenneth Francis age 28 of Salem will be Tuesday at 2 p m at Union Methodist Protestant Church. Rev Pugh will conduct and burial will be in Union Cemetery. He leaves a daughter Wanda Jean age 5, his parents Mr and Mrs George Francis and four sisters Mrs Nellie Watkins Mrs Pearl Kelley Athens and Mrs Mildred Chambers and Mrs Freda Chambers and a brother Roy Francis all of Logan W Va His wife and one child have been dead for several years.
Former State Senator Marvin C. Harrison a Democrat pledged to work against Governor Davey’s renomination. He spoke to a Council Educational Alliance on Sunday saying he would do anything to prevent the unfortunate choice. Harrison was named to administer W. Burr Gongwer county Democratic leadership affairs while Gongwer is in Florida.
