The body of about 60 year old Mrs. William Stout was found murdered at her country home five miles south of Hamden by a 14 year old boy named Perry. Step-son Artie Stout 35 is jailed on circumstantial evidence as investigators say she was struck head and choked before the body was set afire. Authorities say the step-son had prior adultery charges and had threatened the victim.
Sunday Creek company takes over mines 6 7 and 9 of Pittsburgh Coal near Murray City Circle Hill Athens county. Officials expect coal to move within a week at mine 6 with 300 jobs and 1400 tons daily. Mine 7 employs 175 and about 1000 tons daily once active.
Barnesville High School was indefinitely suspended by the Ohio High School Athletic Association after two alumni played in a game with Zanesville last Saturday. Walter Hunkler subbed for his brother Arthur and Mike Rabish played for Harry Fogle in a 3 to 0 Zanesville victory.

18-(U.R)-Que sado Castillo, a Black man accused in a serious case, died today in Havana Navy custody under the medieval garrote. As required, the body remained on public view in Santiago jail for four hours before burial.
