Ohio Bobcats seniors seek home win over Bowling Green
Ten Ohio University seniors play final home game at Peden Stadium seeking a victory against Bowling Green to stay in the hunt for a third Mid American Conference title. Ohio is 4-4 overall, 3-1 in the league, while BG stands 7-1, 4-1. If BG wins they clinch the title. if Ohio wins they must beat Marshall to claim Ohio’s third title.

George Wright of Pomeroy won first place in a 70 mile poker run by the Meigs County Motorcycle Club. Thelma Jeffers of Chillicothe took second as twenty riders participated in the event.

Peden to be inducted into Helms Foundation Hall of Fame
Peden, longtime Ohio University football coach from 1924 to 1946 with 123 wins, 44 losses and 11 ties, will be honored at halftime Saturday as he is inducted into the Helms Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame. He also coached Ohio baseball and helped found the Mid-American Conference.
