Knitting Instruction Held By Poca and Avalanche Clubs
Point Pleasant groups Poca hontas and Avalanche Home Demonstration Clubs held a knitting training session on basic studies November 12 at the home of Mrs. Harold Lewis. County agent Wanda Stemple led the program with a line of participants including several Mrs. Roush and Staats members. Interested groups may contact Miss Stemple for instruction.

Car Burns On Route 2 In Point Pleasant
Six firefighters responded after a 1956 model car owned by Hoy Jones Jr. caught fire on Route 2 at Eckard Chapel near midnight. The car burned in a field after the driver escaped. the origin was unknown and damage was set at $600.
