Rabbits Carry Disease Warns Doctor At Conference
Dr. Walter M. Simpson of Miami Valley Hospital warned rabbit hunters and eaters at the Ninth Annual Ohio Health Commissioners Conference in Columbus about tularemia in wild rabbits. He cited 53 rabbit cases and said about one in 100 rabbits may be affected. he advised wearing rubber gloves and that thoroughly cooked meat is safe to eat. He noted undulant fever, or Malta fever, is linked to milk from cows with the germ and may be misdiagnosed as typhoid.

Mrs. Julia E. Tribe 74 widow of Taylor Tribe died at 5 this morning at 72 Central Avenue where she lived 48 years. Cancer of the stomach was the cause. Funeral plansawait the arrival tonight of her son H. R. Tribe from Jackson Michigan. She was born in Athens and was a lifelong member of Central Avenue M E Church. Surviving children are F. C.
