Peace Day Observed With Ceremonies in Nelsonville
Nelsonville observed Armistice Day with flag ceremonies and a 8 30 a m patriotic address by John J. Woolley of Athens for senior and junior high students. The Legion and civil war veterans attended, a silent period was observed at 11, and a citywide salute preceded a Legion dance and card party at the home. Mrs Heppert noted long service and role on the supreme board of trustees while the Nelsonville Review highlighted 100 candidates initiated and a 300-person banquet with delegations from nearby towns.

Anna Collins 63 wife of James Collins died suddenly at home on Myers street from an acute indigestion attack. She lived in Nelsonville most of her life and was a respected mother and St Andrews church member. Survived by husband two sons, Mrs Emish, Mrs Ludden and granddaughter Catherine.
