Anna Ohio Quake Triggers 1937 Tremor Memories
Residents recall the March 2 and 9, 1937 quakes that damaged Anna’s school and sent churches into use as worship spaces. No injuries reported from the latest quake, but locals described light fixtures moving, doors rattling, and people recalling the 1937 events across Ohio and neighboring states. Geologists cite rock layer adjustments as the cause and estimate damage around 100000 dollars.
