Lisbon Airport control tower said an English plane hunting a missing flying boat reported sighting wreckage of an unidentified plane located 35 to 40 miles southeast of the missing Portuguese airliner’s suspected emergency landing site. The Portuguese aircraft carried 36 aboard, including six Americans.
Albert G. Lucas, 31, died Monday after leaping from a tree at his Dayton home to escape a limb he was cutting. He fell about 25 feet onto a steel fence post, sustaining fatal injuries.
