Two Men Injured In Auto Collision At Mechanicsburg
At about 10 30 last night near the Tom filling station in Mechanicsburg two cars crashed injuring Martin Rassmussen and A J Roach. William Gabriel faced intoxication charges and was fined 100 dollars plus costs with license suspended six months. Rassmussen and Roach pled guilty to intoxication and were fined ten dollars plus costs. A second car carrying McDonald and McHard was struck. both vehicles were wrecked beyond repair.

J S Pritchard of Columbus was named receiver after Albert W Matters filed in Athens County Common Pleas Court. The petition lists $60,000 in unpaid liabilities and $1,209.66 owed to Matters, with 150 acres in Meigs and Gallia and 645 acres in Meigs Gallia for mining rights and leases. The company employs about 100 miners with a semi monthly payroll near $3,500 and shows no cash to pay current obligations.
