In Columbus Ohio at 1 PM the wet side leads the nationwide prohibition ratification by about 5 000 votes based on eight counties and eight more counties returns with 22 precincts missing. Official counts may shift as discrepancies are ironed out amid predictions of a dry statewide majority.
Louisville and Columbus reporting centers show drys leading in Kentucky with 4 500 county wins while Ohio voters have ratified the nationwide prohibition amendment by about 5 000 with twenty dry counties still to report and a potential shift in the margin.
Secretary of State Smith said the net majority against the Crabbe Prohibition enforcement bill would be 25 000 or more. He expects the official count to determine the result. State leaders offered figures showing both defeat and carry for nation wide prohibition, with margins ranging from a few thousand to nearly five thousand in different readings.

Joy Rice and Stewart Quillen were bound over to common pleas court in Canton Ohio with bonds of 500 dollars each for the theft of three automobiles at a Hast Sparta dance. The accused admit guilt but say the cars were stolen as a joke. Two vehicles were driven into a canyon before being abandoned.
