After years labeled a food desert Vinton County will gain a 12,000 square foot grocery with fresh produce and meat. Stabbing case in Buchtel leads to arrest on protective order violation
Athens County sheriff's deputies arrested 25 year old Shala Lynn Bauer on a charge of violating a protective order after an alleged stabbing and cutting incident in Buchtel near North Akron Avenue. The victim, Jason Wilson, 34, reported wounds to the left abdomen and arm. Wilson left the scene. Bauer claimed self defense. Bauer remains jailed on 5000 cash bond for the protective order violation and 1500 for a separate domestic violence matter, with Nov 9 court date.
