Eleven more miners were found alive in a flooded German iron mine a week after a dam collapse. Officials aim to reach them by Wednesday as 40 miners remained missing while 86 escaped and three were rescued earlier. A tiny air pocket 196 feet down led to the discovery during a forceful drill.
A car packed with 12 people plunged into the Harlem River after vandals ripped bulbs and wiring from warning lights at Lincoln Avenue Bronx end. One survivor I Martinez 40, his wife and two children perished along with four children ages one three four and nine.
