Jefferson, Ohio. Police in three states seek Goodrich McCourt, 21, on a first degree murder charge in the slaying of 18 year old Andy Jana at a gravel pit 15 miles southeast of Jefferson. Prosecutor Ward Cross says the motive followed conflicts with a 18 year old fiancée over Jana. A search party led by Sheriff Jerry Benson found Jana's body after McCourt allegedly asked Jana to go for a ride. McCourt left home with a shotgun and later said he would be leaving because the sheriff would be after him. He packed his clothes and fled.
