An advertisement claims one thousand dollars guaranteed for curing piles and lists many rectal symptoms. It warns against delaying treatment to avoid blood poisoning, fistula, and sphincter damage, urging readers to seek help before severe illness.
Advertisement lists conditions including constipation impaction bladder irritation genital organs uterine displacements and skin diseases. Offers illustrated circular and requests communications addressed to J J McClellan M D with return visits every four weeks.
Dr C C Farquhar, physician and specialist, offers cures for deformities, paralysis, lung diseases, piles, asthma, rheumatism, liver complaints, dyspepsia, neuralgia and chronic diseases.
