Athens churches present a Sunday program with a student chorus, a pageant titled The Mirror Blue by the Women’s Missionary Society, and a pantomime Queen Esther group. Clergy include Rev. A Y Wilcox at the Presbyterian Church and Rev. C M Coulter at the Methodist Church.
The Rev. Howard Be. Warner will speak on What Are You Standing For at Sunday morning worship at Alexander Presbyterian Church. Bible School starts at 10 o clock. A joint meeting of aston and Board of Trustees was held at 7 30 Sunday night.
Music figures prominently in the revival at Hocking Street Church of God with the First Methodist Episcopal Church ladies quartet the three Shingler sisters from Mineral performing tonight. Rev Thomas W Farmer speaks on The Unconquerable Defense at 7 30 PM. Sunday features Community Colored Male Quartet and Victory Girls with Delbert Moore on guitar, plus a Unity Churches of God in Hocking Valley meeting at Athens Church at 2 PM and Young People Society event at 6 30 PM.

Speakers announced for a one day Disciple Church convention to be held at the First Christian Church in Athens on November 9 beginning at 10 am. Mrs Ora L Shepherd head of Missionary Society of the Disciples of Christ Indianapolis will speak along with William H Edwards missionary in the Belgian Congo Gaines M Cook state secretary of Disciples in Cleveland Miss Bertha Park state secretary of women's work and F I Gardner Middleport district speaker. The day will close with a fellowship supper at 6 pm featuring Miss Marcella Long and Prof Monroe Vermilion as speakers.
