County Campaigns In Final Stretch Before Election Day
In Hocking County many races for public office are toss ups with incumbents in four unopposed spots. Key contests include Republican L. P. Mooney vs John S. Richards for state representative and a three to four way race for county commissioner. Sheriff candidate A. J. Waldron is challenged by Democrat William Rafferty. Judge E. L. Ewing faces Rhea Pettit Bangert for probate court and juvenile judgeship. Officials warn results may not be known until Wednesday morning due to 14 ballot issues and expected heavy turnout influenced by weather.
