George Jewell Demands Name Removal From Mason Board Ballot
George C. Jewell of New Haven asked Mason County ballot commissioners to remove his name from the unexpired term for the Mason County Board of Education ballot. He declared he was not consulted and did not authorize use of his name, but the board ruled removal impossible as ballots were printed, packaged, and sealed. The issue involves potential logistical and cost obstacles for removing a candidate’s name before the November 5 election.
