Accidents Investigated Over Holiday Weekend In Wellston
WELLSTON Four accidents were investigated by the Wellston Police Department over the holiday weekend. Dora M. Smith 35 of Wellston was cited for leaving the scene and loss of vehicle control after her car struck a parked vehicle on W Second Street and knocked it onto the sidewalk. John C. Breen 39 of Columbus stated he fell asleep at the wheel and struck three parked cars on West Broadway. A separate report notes a Monday auto and motorcycle collision near Third Street and Pennsylvania Avenue with one person hospitalized. Trimble PTO officers for 1972 73 include president Peggy Miller vice president Rollie Swart treasurer Phyllis Koons and secretary Beverly Shifflet.

Dog Warden Seizes Strays in Nelsonville
A number of dogs roaming at large in Nelsonville were picked up by the Athens County dog warden on Tuesday. The animals were taken to the county dog pound and owners must contact Police Chief Max Valkinburg and reclaim their dogs at the pound.

Wesleyan Church Honors 1972 Grads With Bibles

Edwards Fined $205 in Wellston Mayor Court
Paul Edwards of Wellston faced five charges in Wellston Mayor's Court and paid a total of 205 plus costs for disturbing the peace obscene language intoxication resisting arrest rock throwing and profanity. Robert E. Gordon of Wellston was fined 20 for intoxication. Earl D Caldwell of Wellston and David D Ward of Hamden were each fined 150 for driving while under drugs. Richard D. Robinson of Jackson waived and paid 19 on speeding. John C Breen of Columbus waived and paid 19 for failure to control.

Scout Troop 67 Plans Smoky Mountain Trip From Chauncey
Chauncey Scout Troop 67 under Scoutmaster Robert Hollenbaugh will depart June 9 for Smoky Mountain National Park. Sponsored by First Christian Church, the trip is announced amid a busy slate of Chauncey church and school events this week. A Glouster High School sophomore class car wash is set for Saturday at Hud's Service Station, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with 1 to wash outside and 50 cents for inside.

Camp Fire Girls Set Free Day Camp Schedule in Nelsonville
Final plans for a free day camp are completed for June 6 7 and 8 by the Camp Fire Girls executive committee. The camp runs at Sand Run Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily with attendance limited to registered Camp Fire Girls and Blue Birds who must have written permission slips collected on day one. Dates were adjusted to fit changes in a train trip.
