Nelsonville honors veterans of five wars in Memorial Day rites
In Nelsonville ceremonies at Fort Street Cemetery and Green Lawn honored veterans from five conflicts led by VFW Post 3467. The events included a wreath for the Navy dead, a color guard procession, band and taps, and remarks by Rev. John Lloyd Evans noting Civil War volunteers from Athens County.
