Vinton Rural Alumni Banquet Held May 21 in School
The Vinton Rural alumni banquet took place May 21 at the school with over 90 attendees. L. M. Cooper of Columbus served as toastmaster, and Mrs. Parnier McLaughlin gave the welcome with response by Mrs. Luellen McLaughlin. Officers for the next year include Franklin Rhetta, president. Mrs. Pauline Cheer, vice president. Mildred Gregory, secretary-treasurer. A garden club reception and a dance followed. North Wilton eighth grade commencement exercises were held with 57 graduates and Irene Jackson serving as vice president of the Wilton Board of Education.
