Bobcats Open NCAA District Four Tourney At Minnesota
Ohio University star pitcher Ed Robbins clashes with Minnesota ace Gary Petrich in the opening round at Bierman Field. Robbins led the MAC with a 1.37 ERA and 3-1 mark. Petrich owned a 7-0 record with a 1.71 ERA. The Gophers, led by Noel Jenke and Dave Cosgrove, boast 63 home runs and strong batting averages as SIU and Ball State also contend.
