Noted Musicians Named for Athens Concert Season
Four outstanding artists were chosen by the Community Concert Association executive board to appear in Athens this season. Soprano Rosa Tentoni, pianist Dales Frantz, violinist Nathan Milstein, and dancer Goya will bring concert programs previously heard only in major cities. Tentoni, praised for Beethoven and opera roles, rose from Minnesota roots via study with Enrico Rosati. Frantz, a child prodigy, has performed with major symphonies after early training with Guy Maier and European study. Milstein, Odessa born violinist, is lauded as a continental sensation and returns for an eighth American tour, with a career spanning Paris to New York.
