David Korins Shapes Hamilton’s Quiet Stage Magic
Broadway set designer David Korins adds eight feet to the back walls at intermission to signify Act 1’s birth and Act 2’s nation building in Hamilton. His design uses two massive turntables to convey time and movement while remaining unobtrusive to audiences reading programs. He has earned a Tony nomination and runs a 15 member design firm, having worked on Vanya and Sonia and Misery among others.
