Clyde Snyder 53 of Athens Route 3 died unexpectedly Tuesday morning in Mount St. Mary Hospital after months of ill health. Arrangements are being completed by Hughes Funeral Home.

Tractor Mishap Injures Point Pleasant Teacher
Richard Dick Austin 27 a teacher at Point Pleasant High School was seriously hurt in a tractor accident on his parents farm Monday evening. He a polio survivor with one leg crippled and multiple leg injuries plus a shoulder puncture. Hospital reports his condition satisfactory at Pleasant Valley. The accident occurred on Lyle Austins farm and a wrecking crew from 10 miles away freed the tractor after as long as 90 minutes. Austin who is married with two daughters was to receive his masters degree in science Friday from Marshall University.
