Graduation Exercises Held for L18 Seniors

More than the legal limit filled the junior high gym as 118 Point Pleasant High School seniors graduated. Valedictorian Janette Herdman and salutatorian Agnes Beaver spoke, with music by the Woman's Club Chorus. Awards included Legion Boys' State to Bob Eschenau and Good Citizenship to Janette Herdman.

New Schedule Set For Recruiting Office In Point Pleasant

First Class Woodrow M. Griffith announced a new schedule for the local Army and Air Force recruiting office. He said he will be at the Sixth Street office on Mondays and Saturdays, with home station moved to Charleston. The notice also mentions poison tapioca from cassava, with heating killing the toxin.
