Turmoil in Minneapolis and Toledo escalates as workers clash with guards and police. Shots, tear gas, and rioting mark a nationwide wave of strikes involving 700 Toledo plant employees and New Orleans dockers, with talks to calm tensions amid delayed shipments and looming industry actions.
A reward is posted by Indiana Ohio Michigan and others for John Dillinger. The notice offers payment if he is delivered dead or alive, signed by state officials. It specifies the bounty applies across five states and names the sheriffs involved.

La Paz reports a Bolivian counter attack in the Gran Chaco disrupted Paraguayan troops fleeing in disorder. Dispatches say 6,000 Paraguayans were slain and twice that number ended. The Seventh Division isolated the ghth Division, and La Paz hailed a national jubilee.
A head on collision between a bus and a truck in a heavy rain near Richmond Virginia left two dead and about fifty injured. Fire followed the crash as rescuers worked, a woman burned to death and several injured were taken to Richmond and Petersburg hospitals.
A jury selected for the Carl Lauderbach case visited the crime scene in Kimberly at noon. Lauderbach is charged with shooting Albert Brown on Feb 15 in Athens County and the judge blocked a suspended sentence if he pleaded guilty. Pete Kreis of Knoxville Tennessee and Bob Hahn of Chico California were killed instantly in an Indianapolis crash while practicing for the 500 mile race. The accident occurred during a practice run in the hours near Indianapolis.
Howard Tanborey was shot in the stomach in Coolville, remaining in serious condition at Sheltering Arms Hospital. Cecelia Bradford and Henry Wyers were arraigned before Magistrate C. H. Porter on shooting with intent to kill charges, each denying the accusation and held to the grand jury. Wyers failed to post bond and was jailed in Athens County. Bradford posted bond.
4 H. E. Zuber, former superintendent at Nelsonville and Chagrin Falls, was elected superintendent of Struthers schools last night succeeding H. G. Floyd who resigned after petitions against him.
Columbus officials deny labor rumors of a filling station attendants strike. May 25 report says motorists rushed to stockpile gasoline amid unverified talk, with Columbus Federation of Labor denying any strike plans.
Post master Charles J. Bocklet announced an increase of eighteen additional hours per week for 35 Cincinnati postal workers due to higher postal business.

EAST CHICAGO Ind May 25 two more police officers were machine gunned to death while guarding a road for Dillinger a fugitive from Crown Point. Officers Martin O'Brien 44 and Lloyd Mulvihill 24 were killed last night with unknown gunmen leaving no clue to identity. Both officers knew Dillinger by sight. Their bodies were found slumped in the car with multiple bullet wounds in the neck and head.
In Blue Earth Minnesota on May 2 AP reports Sheriff W. H. Keigley used a tear gas gun to deter a crowd of protesting farmers as two mortgages totaling 12,300 dollars were foreclosed on Henry Guckeen’s farm. Several men grappled with the sheriff but no shots were fired. The sheriff ordered the crowd back and proceeded with the sale at the Faribault County Courthouse steps.
Nelsonville resident Paul Hashman was acquitted by a jury in Athens County Common Pleas Court after an hour of deliberation. He faced two counts of larceny linked to a $10 theft at the Nelsonville car service office, while Jack Davis was also implicated.
Neal Bowman, a Southeastern Ohio gunman once tied to bank robberies, was found guilty of murdering 17 year old Conner Franklin and dumping the body in Herrington Lake. Jurors deliberated about two hours after Bowman claimed the Kentuckian Stanley Mercer was the actual killer and vowed to appeal the death sentence.
Washington reports the body of Mary E. Sheads, a retired teacher, found in her apartment last night. Neighbors were alerted by screams and the sound of a fallen fire escape ladder. The killer is unknown. motive and whereabouts of the assailant remain unclear.
In Prestatyn Scotland on May 25, George T. Dunlap Jr US amateur champion fell in the British Amateur Golf Championship semi final to James Wallace an unemployed carpenter. Wallace won two up and one to play.
Paris reports French foreign minister Louis Barthou declares a cautious policy of no immediate disarmament for France and no immediate rearmament for Germany, signaling restraint amid rising tensions in Europe.
Four robbers and two women entered the South Holland Trust and Savings Bank at 10 o clock as time locks released. A guard machine gun fire killed one bandit and wounded another fatally or severely while police pursued the fleeing car toward Chicago. The Dillinger gang methods were cited as the raid unfolded.

Police feared Communist reinforcements from Chicago and Detroit. Guardsmen expanded to 1,000 with machine gun support. Officials announced Auto-Lite would close today and tomorrow.
Dr. William Chalmers Covert, newly elected moderator, announced E. Earle Hoover of Glendale Pennsylvania as vice moderator. Hoover’s appointment followed Covert’s election on the second ballot by more than 900 commissioners at the One Hundred Forty-Sixth General Assembly in Cleveland on May 2.
