John Bobo, 41, son of Jackson and Mrs. Bobo, living with his parents on Long Run in Lodi township, died by self inflicted gunshot at midnight. He had been an invalid for decades and lived reclusively. Funeral planned at Graham Chapel at 10 a.m. with Rev. T. L. Lowe officiating.

Athens High to Hold Forty-Seventh Commencement
The Athens High School will hold its forty seventh commencement in Ewing Hall on Friday June 2 at 8 p.m. The baccalaureate sermon is set for Sunday May 28 at 7 30 p.m. with Dr T L Lowe as preacher. Class day is June 1 at 1 p.m. Thirty three graduates are listed with speeches debates and journalism selections by named students and Prof H R Wilson will present diplomas. The exercises include choral numbers and an annual address by Dr Alston Ellis with several student performances and the presentation of diplomas by Supt J V McMillan.

Glouster mourns Thomas Dupler who died early Saturday likely of heart failure. The funeral at the Methodist church drew a large crowd and about forty carriages followed the hearse to the cemetery. Dupler served two terms as county commissioner and married Sarah Biddison in 1867. eight children were born, six surviving.
