Five Instructors Hired For Tri-County Vocational School
Tri-County District Vocational School and Technical Institute board of education hired five instructors for the new school term. Earl Parkins will teach history and social studies, Eugene Snyder will lead welding and sheet metal, Samuel Johnson Jr. handles electricity and television repair, Steven E. Spurgus becomes auto body shop instructor, and Dorothy Mae Horn will teach high skills stenography. A warehouseman, changes to wiring and telephones, and new class enrollment were also approved as work progresses on the campus project.

Vocal Music Presented For Rotary
NELSONVILLE The Rotary Club met at Ethel's Tea Room with nearly all members present. President Dr. Roger Johnson introduced visiting Rotarians Carl Thielmann and Eldon Swart of Athens and Alva Oakley of Whitesville W Va. Five Nelsonville York high school students performed vocal music: Nancy Fisk Nancy Christian Nicky Ogg Jim Guess and Charles Baldwin Jr who also played guitar. Dr Charles Baldwin was program chairman. Next week the club will tour the Tri County Joint Vocational School building after lunch. The Rotary picnic is set for May 25.

Three Drivers Face Court Dates In Separate Citations
Nelsonville police cited Tom Polley for speeding and unsafe operation with a mayor court hearing Friday at 8 30 p m. Timothy Berry 17 was cited for speeding on Chestnut Street and must appear in Athens County Juvenile court. Neil E Culp 20 Jacksonville was ordered to appear in Mayor court June 4 at 7 30 p m. Separately a note recalls Hyames Field at Western Michigan University as the birthplace of the College Baseball World Series in 1947 with California beating Yale.
