Rainy Week Slows Planting in Sharpsburg Community
A week of rain slowed planting but most corn is in and gardens grow well. Lilacs bloom richly as Rev. Bennington preached at Mt Hermon. Dad's Day program held with 68 in Sunday School. Mt Hermon school closed after a successful year with many visitors. new officers elected. Local graduates Thomas Hanson and Pauline Dickson attended Ames Bern High School commencement. Memorial Day program planned for 1 pm with good speakers.
