Death by own action in Middleport
Amos N. Rowe aged 55 was found dead at 10 a.m. in a vacant Mill and Rowe building after shooting himself in the right temple with a 32 caliber revolver. Coroner W. H. Ewing said the body appeared to have been dead about five hours. Rowe, who visited his nephew Hoadley Swisher and left a note asking the coroner to take care of his body, had been staying with relatives in Virginia and West Virginia prior to the visit. He is survived by a daughter in Columbus.
