Three Men Rob Bank In Vinton

Three men robbed the Vinton County Banking Co. in Vinton at about 10 a.m. and fled in a 1963 Chevrolet with West Virginia plates 201291. The car was found abandoned and burned west of Vinton. Authorities from Ohio and West Virginia, including state patrol aircraft, searched area roads and bridges for the trio. A bank customer witnessed guns drawn but no one was hurt. The bank is on Route 160 in a village of about 375 residents.
