Bricker to Speak at OU Graduation for 546 Seniors

Senator John W. Bricker will deliver the commencement address at Ohio University recalling a long Ohio political career. About 342 men and 204 women will receive degrees including 39 completing two year studies. 118 men will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the armed services, with 69 in the Air Force ROTC and 49 from Army ROTC.

House Looks Set To OK Military Reserve Plan

Proposal outlines creating a trained reserve force of 2.9 million in five years with annual costs near a billion dollars. It would recall any failing reservists for 45 days active duty, enroll 100,000 to 250,000 youths 17 to 19 for six months training, and allow the president to summon up to a million reservists during a national emergency without Congress.

60 mph Bill Passes House
