Ill and despondent after a string of family misfortunes, Mrs. Mary A. McKinley of Millfield shot herself with a .22 revolver at home about 2:30 pm Monday. Funeral services are set for 2 pm Wednesday at P. H. McKinley’s home in Athens. She leaves Dan McKinley, her husband, her father George Whitfield of Columbus, two Columbus sisters, a Chicago sister, and a Detroit brother.
COLUMBUS May 16 The Best Mortgage Moratoria Bill allowing suspension of foreclosure sales by Common Pleas Courts was approved by the House and goes to the governor for signature. The House also backed a conference report on the initiated old age pension bill, pending Senate vote today.
Logan May 16 selections of 40 young men from 137 applicants by the County Relief Commission for a reforesting camp. Report to Chamber of Commerce office for physical exams and final papers Tuesday and Wednesday. Names include Robert E. Walker Clyde Mount John Richards Logan Loren Ralph Paul Pavlik and many others across Nelsonville New Straitsville Logan Murray City and Haydenville.
