Court Hearing Slated May 29 For Edgecombe
A Common Pleas Court hearing for Michael Edgecombe has been moved to May 29. The 19-year-old Ohio University sophomore was found guilty of possessing marijuana after an Oct. 12 sheriff’s probe of a Guysville area home and seven co defendants were indicted last January. Edgecombe remains free on a $5,000 bond while his appeal proceeds, with his lawyer seeking a new trial claiming the verdict was unsupported by evidence and prejudicial. If denied, Lavelle will pursue a Court of Appeals.
