Trimble secures sectional baseball title in Glouster
Trimble senior Austin Downs fueled a 10-0 victory over Southern to capture the Division IV Sectional title in Glouster. Downs sparked the clinching run with a walk stolen base and aggressive base running as Trimble sealed the six-run third inning and moved to the Southeast District bracket. The Tomcats (19-3) advance to face No. 4 Notre Dame in the semifinals at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe Saturday at 4 p.m.
